University Housing and the Office of the Vice President for Instruction are seeking applicants for the Peer Advisor position for the 2015-2016 academic year. This position is a paid, non-residential leadership position for rising juniors and seniors. Peer Advisors serve as mentors to first-year students enrolled in one of the seven learning communities in Creswell Hall. This year we have learning communities centered on topics ranging from business to athletics.
Successful peer advisors have great communication skills, leadership experience, and enjoy helping students transition from high school to college. Furthermore, peer advisors have the opportunity to work directly with UGA faculty members and a small group of first-year students to plan activities, social events and other off-campus gatherings.
If you’re ready to help the incoming class of 2019 transition to UGA, submit your application today! Visit learningcommunities.uga.edu for more information.
